Protect Your FEMTO Unlock & Tune
Q: What happens if I update my ECU at the BMW dealership?
A: If you allow a BMW dealership to update or connect diagnostic equipment to your ECU, it may automatically overwrite the FEMTO unlock and the custom tune file we installed. This means your vehicle will revert to factory settings, and you’ll lose the performance tune. We strongly recommend avoiding ECU updates at the dealership unless you’ve consulted with us first. Reapplying the tune will require the ECU being sent back to FEMTO for the unlock with additional time and cost.
