A Vision Realized Originally conceptualized in 2019 and discussed among bootmod3 enthusiasts, REV2 has been in development alongside major advancements like CustomROM, Map Editor, Flex Fuel Kits, WiFi Adapter, and expanded engine support. Now, after years of innovation, it's finally here!

Seamless DME Integration with FlexRay™ Once installed, REV2 communicates with the ECU/DME through the high-speed, fault-tolerant FlexRay™ protocol, ensuring reliable and efficient data transmission.

What is DirectPWM? With the bootmod3 CustomROM V2 update, DirectPWM allows the ECU/DME to send a precise PWM signal directly to the REV2 Controller via the OEM vehicle harness. This eliminates communication protocol overhead, enabling the fastest and most accurate control possible.

Configurable Outputs for Maximum Performance REV2 supports DirectPWM control for:

• Sequential Port Injection

• Boost Control Solenoid (MAC Valve) Configuration is straightforward via the bootmod3 Map Configuration screen, with no additional setup required for REV2.

Simple Installation, No Additional Tuning Required Once installed, REV2 functions autonomously. All tuning adjustments are handled through the ECU using the bootmod3 Map Editor, eliminating the need for direct ECU tuning.

Firmware Updates Made Easy REV2 includes WiFi capability, allowing firmware updates via the bootmod3 app when necessary.

FlexRay™ Static Segment Support REV2 leverages FlexRay’s static segment for guaranteed message delivery, ensuring superior reliability over older CANBUS-based systems.

Ethanol Content Analysis REV2 accepts input from an Ethanol Sensor but does not process ethanol content directly. Instead, it transmits raw frequency/PWM data to the DME for analysis.

MAP Sensor Compatibility REV2 does not have a built-in MAP sensor but offers a plug-and-play harness to connect aftermarket MAP sensors directly to the OEM vehicle harness.

Advanced Safety Features with CustomROM V2 REV2 transmits sensor data to the ECU/DME, allowing bootmod3 CustomROM V2 to configure over 40 custom safety triggers, including:

• Cylinder-specific Ignition Coil Cut Safety

• Direct Injector and Port Fuel Injector Cut Safety

• Fuel Pressure and Coolant Over-Pressure Safeties

• Over-Boost Protection

• Knock Safety Based on Ignition Timing Corrections

• Various Nitrous and Methanol Safeties

REV2 Controller Is Not a Standalone ECU All tuning is performed via the ECU/DME with bootmod3 CustomROM V2. The DME must be running this software update for REV2 to function.

ECU/DME Unlock Requirements

• If your ECU/DME was previously unlocked via FEMTO before 3/19/2025 then, you must resend it to FEMTO for the bootmod3 CustomROM V2 software update. FEMTO unlock software version after 3/19/25 will not need to be be sent back to FEMTO.

• If your ECU/DME does not require a FEMTO unlock, you can directly flash the necessary bootmod3 CustomROM V2 map.
