How It Works

Step 1: Remove and label both ECUs
The BMW S68 platform uses two ECUs. Before shipping, clearly label each ECU as Driver Side and Passenger Side.

Step 2: Ship both ECUs to MTech Performance
Ship your pre-labeled driver side and passenger side ECUs to our Fort Lauderdale, Florida facility. We will hand deliver both ECUs to our neighbors FEMTO Miami to unlock and return them to you.

Step 3: Reinstall both ECUs
Once you receive the unlocked ECUs, reinstall them into your BMW G90 M5 or BMW XM.

Step 4: Remote tuning through the OBD2 port
After both ECUs are reinstalled, you will need a Windows laptop, a stable internet connection, and a BMW ENET cable. MTech Performance will remotely connect to your Windows laptop and install the selected tune through the vehicle’s OBD2 connection using FEMTO Flasher.

Important: Both ECUs must be shipped, correctly labeled, FEMTO unlocked, and reinstalled before remote tuning can be completed.
