Unlock Process (Mail-In)

1. Purchase the Service: Order through our online store (includes shipping).
2. Prepare Your Vehicle: Activate BM3 or MHD before sending DME.
3. Ship the DME: Send ECU to MTech Performance in Fort Lauderdale FL, with our Mail-In Form inside the package Tap Here
4. Processing & Unlock: DME is shipped to FEMTO in Finland and returned within 7–15 days.
5. Reinstall & Flash: Reinstall DME, test vehicle, and flash your custom map.

Important Considerations

• OTA Updates: Disable Over-The-Air updates in iDrive to avoid losing the tune.
• Tuning Licenses: BM3 sold separately.
• Remote Start: Optionally retained during unlock if selected (existing feature only).
• Shipping: DHL Express used for Europe delivery. 7–15 day turnaround (customs may vary).
• V8 Engines (e.g. N63TU/S63TU/S68): Require dual DME unlock. Select correct quantity and ship both units.

FEMTO Re-Flash:

For FEMTO custom rom update.
This is applicable for anyone that has been Femto unlocked already and needs to send back their ECU for switching from MHD to bootmod Or from Femto to bootmod and vice versa. Also applicable when you already have bootmod before April 2025 and need to update for the new custom rom use and rev2 use.
