Stage 2 Porsche 991 and 992 GT3 ECU Tune

The Stage 2 Porsche 991 and 992 GT3 ECU Tune is designed for naturally aspirated GT3 models equipped with aftermarket headers, upgraded exhaust components, intake modifications, or other supporting performance hardware while running 93 octane premium pump fuel.

Because the Porsche GT3 uses a naturally aspirated engine platform, Stage 2 tuning focuses on optimizing the calibration for the installed hardware rather than increasing turbocharger boost. Expected gains remain similar to Stage 1, with the final result depending on the specific modifications and condition of the vehicle.

Porsche 991 and 992 GT3 Handheld ECU Tuning Device

The Porsche 991 and 992 GT3 factory ECU does not need to be removed or mailed to MTech Performance for Stage 1 or Stage 2 ECU tuning.

The optional handheld tuning device communicates directly with the factory Porsche ECU, which controls the engine and related performance functions. The handheld gives the customer the ability to read, write, flash, datalog, and clear engine codes without removing the factory ECU from the vehicle.

The Porsche GT3 handheld device allows you to:

• Read and clear codes from the factory Porsche ECU
• Write and install MTech Performance ECU calibrations
• Flash Stage 1 or Stage 2 ECU tuning files
• Record datalogs for calibration review
• Clear engine codes
• Install future tuning revisions when supplied by MTech Performance
• Communicate directly with the factory engine control unit

ECU mail-in service is NOT required for Porsche 991 or 992 GT3 ECU tuning. The factory ECU remains installed in the vehicle throughout the tuning process.

Important: The handheld device is used for the factory engine ECU only. It cannot unlock or program the Porsche PDK transmission control unit.

Optional Porsche GT3 PDK TCU Tuning

MTech Performance offers optional Porsche 991 and 992 GT3 PDK TCU tuning for customers who want improved transmission performance to complement their Stage 1 or Stage 2 ECU tune.

The PDK TCU is the control unit responsible for managing the Porsche transmission, including shifting behavior, torque limits, clutch operation, and transmission response.

Only the PDK TCU must be mailed to the MTech Performance facility if the customer selects optional TCU tuning. The factory engine ECU does not need to be removed or shipped.

The handheld ECU tuning device cannot unlock or program the PDK TCU. Customers purchasing the optional Porsche GT3 PDK TCU tune must remove the transmission control unit and send it to MTech Performance for the required unlocking and programming service.

Remote Porsche 991 and 992 GT3 ECU Tuning

Remote tuning is available for the Porsche 991 and 992 GT3 platform. MTech Performance can remotely assist with installing your custom Stage 1 or Stage 2 ECU calibration through the handheld tuning device.

Remote Porsche tuning allows customers outside the South Florida area to receive a professionally developed MTech Performance calibration without bringing the vehicle to our facility or mailing the factory engine ECU.

Customers will need the supplied handheld tuning device and the MyFlasher mobile app. Download the MyFlasher app for Android or Apple mobile devices.

The handheld device can also be used to collect datalogs from the factory Porsche ECU. These datalogs allow the MTech Performance tuning team to review vehicle performance, make calibration adjustments when necessary, and provide updated tuning files.

All standard remote Porsche 991 and 992 GT3 ECU calibrations are developed for 93 octane premium pump fuel. Customers should continue using 93 octane fuel after the tune has been installed.

If 91 octane or lower is the only fuel available, please advise MTech Performance before tuning so the calibration can be adjusted with the correct ignition timing for the available fuel.

Customers interested in ethanol, E85, race fuel, or other higher octane tuning must contact MTech Performance for a custom quote and calibration recommendation before ordering.

MTech Performance PDK TCU Mail-In Form

This mail-in form is only required for customers purchasing optional Porsche 991 or 992 GT3 PDK TCU tuning. Customers purchasing an ECU tune without the optional PDK TCU tune do not need to mail their factory ECU or any other engine control module to MTech Performance.

Before shipping your Porsche PDK TCU, you must complete the MTech Performance ECU and TCU Mail-In Service Form. The form provides our technicians with your vehicle information, customer contact details, selected service, modifications, and order information needed to identify and process your TCU correctly.

After completing the form, print a copy and place it inside the same shipping box as the PDK TCU being sent to MTech Performance.

TCU packages received without the completed mail-in form may experience processing delays while our team attempts to identify the component and contact the customer.
