    The C43 AMG Top Mount Intake System is engineered specifically for the Mercedes-Benz M276 twin-turbo platform to deliver lower intake air temperatures, increased boost efficiency, and measurable real world performance gains all while retaining a fully enclosed factory style design.

    By eliminating restrictive factory airflow paths, this intake allows the turbochargers to breathe more efficiently, improving pressure ratio and mass airflow. The result is cooler air, higher boost consistency, and faster acceleration without requiring tuning or additional modifications.

    Construction & Design

    This intake system is manufactured from high performance carbon fiber reinforced polymer, balancing strength, thermal resistance, and weight savings. Side-by-side testing against the OEM airbox demonstrates improved airflow with reduced restriction, allowing the turbos to operate more efficiently under load.

    Unlike open-element designs that ingest hot under-hood air, this system maintains a sealed intake path to preserve consistent intake temperatures during aggressive driving conditions.


    CFD-Optimized Airflow Engineering

    The intake geometry was refined through extensive computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling. Multiple iterations were evaluated to:

    • Increase airflow velocity
    • Reduce turbulence and re-circulation
    • Maintain enclosure integrity for thermal control

    The final design proves that a fully enclosed intake can deliver high airflow and real power gains within the tight confines of the C43 engine bay.


    Testing & Validation

    All performance validation was conducted on a completely stock 2017 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG. Multiple data logs and acceleration tests were performed and averaged under identical conditions.

    • Average intake air temperatures 9°F lower than stock
    • Boost pressure increased by ~2 psi across 60–100 mph runs
    • Improved mass airflow resulting in measurable power gains

    Lower IAT combined with increased boost efficiency leads directly to higher mass airflow, which is proportional to power output.
